Tesla Motors unveiled the highly anticipated Model S sedan in Los Angeles, today. According to Tesla, the 100% electric sedan will seat up to seven adults, has a top speed of over 200 km/hr and has a range of up to 480 km on a single battery charge. The Volt promises to be a new class of vehicle, known as an "Extended Range Electric Vehicle" that utilizes electric power to deliver up to 65 km of zero emission motoring before switching to gasoline engine mode. Mitsubishi Motors' zero-emission urban transport solution, the pure-electric i-MiEV, was named today as one of the top three contenders in the prestigious World Green Car competition. The i-MiEV is scheduled to go on sale in the Japanese market this summer and is currently undergoing field testing in California. While a Canadian launch of the i-MiEV is not yet foreseen, Mitsubishi does plan to test the i-MiEV in Canada - specifically in Vancouver during the 2010 Olympics. read more .. |
